Hive on MR3 exploits all the key features available in MR3 such as:

- Autoscaling
- MR3 shuffle handler
- Speculative execution
- Eliminating Fetch Delays
- Using Celeborn as Remote Shuffle Service
In this section, we describe new features in Hive on MR3. We assume some familiarity with Hive in general.
